Who We Are:
This organization was created by Charlie and Jennifer Wilson to supply free mental healthcare to Veterans and their families. AS the years have went on they have done much more than just supply free mental health care. Please see our services page for more information. Bottom line their goal at The Soldier’s House of Fremont County, is to seek to support for all Fremont Co. Veterans in many aspects of their lives.

Reviews
"Charlie helped me know it was ok to grieve and be angry. He helped me learn how to be calm, and helped me with my marriage. I don’t have any more nightmares and I’ve been slowly working through my issues. I’m amazed.” - Iraq War Veteran, Lance Williams, said of his work with Charlie Wilson at The Soldiers House of Fremont County.
"I love Monday mornings treating veterans with acupuncture! A great crowd, good humor and always cheerful." - Soleiana Abernathy
" Great services!! Keep up the great work and here's to many lives positively impacted!" - Angie Allen
Read this fun article from Riverton: above and beyond what you've heard of Facebook: June 2020
THE SOLDIERS HOUSE......
Now this is one of the coolest "old" houses you'll find in Riverton.... in more ways than one. Originally the old farm house, I believe, which was located on the property that now houses Burger King and Comfort Inn; a grassroots effort was made to pull it off for this project..... and it is now completely refurbished and located at the corner of E. Jackson and 12th St.
Besides being a really cool looking old farm house, it houses an even cooler organization that is dedicated to our Veterans, who now struggle with issues from their service to our country.
The bulk of their services are centered around the mental health of our Veterans and they offer counseling on a one on one basis to the Veteran as well as support groups for the spouse as well as financial counseling, if needed.
In addition, they offer acupuncture on the 1st Monday of every month for Veterans that can find relief from such a procedure as well as movie nights, focus groups, and most importantly someplace, and someone, veterans can reach out to so they don't have to feel alone in this world.
They do offer a walk in consultation on Thursday afternoons, but otherwise it is best to contact their Lander office at 856-1466 and discuss how they can help you, or a loved one deal with issues from their service to all of us.
Of course, with this pandemic, they, like most all services, are going to suffer from funding cuts as local, county, and state governments have to make difficult choices with drastically reduced tax revenues over the next few years..... and ya know, I'll bet is doesn't necessarily have to be monetary help.... if this is a cause you believe in and want to help out our national heroes.... pick up the phone and chat with them.
God Bless America..... and the Veterans that have served to keep it the greatest nation on earth........ These men and women put their lives on the line for all of us.... and too many of us need to look to them as an example of getting involved to better life for all of us.... instead of complaining about our state of affairs.....
